I hear you.

Washington, D.C. – After President Trump agreed to meet with survivors of the horrific school shooting in Parkland, Florida, for a listening session, several of Trump’s advisors were reportedly terrified that he would “say something utterly stupid, absurd and offensive” to the grieving students and family members of the victims. Trump’s advisors implored him to read the book “How to Act Like a Decent Person for Dummies,” before he met with the students and family members.

Some chapters include, “How to Not say Racist Things”, “How to Not say Sexist Things”, “What Not to say to POWs, Gold Star Families, and/or other Military Heroes and Family Members”, and “How to Not Encourage Violence”.

Although “dummies” books are informative, easy-to-read, and explain concepts in a simplified manner that anyone can understand, the President’s advisors remembered that Donald Trump doesn’t read. Alas, Cliff Notes, they thought! Nope, still too long. So, they asked him to at least read Chapter 12, "How to Just Not Act Like a Jerk". But, at 8 pages long, it was still too long.

“Can you just give me a catch phrase? Three words tops. Like ‘lock her up’,” Trump asked of his advisors. “I hear you,” is what they came up with. “That’s a lot to remember,” Trump responded. So they wrote it down for him.
