… and teenagers’ art work.
By: Helen A. HandbasketWashington, D.C. - Reassuring news has come to us from the halls of congress. Republican lawmakers are earning their taxpayer funded salaries by protecting the American public from a high school student's artwork. On four separate occasions, the teen's painting was removed from the capitol because it portrayed a policeman as a warthog. Republican legislators, who apparently are also expert art critics, did not approve.
Speaker of the house, Paul Ryan added his support when he said, "Now that the republicans are in control we will be the watchdogs against immorality. Offensive art and radical literature will be closely scrutinized. News outlets, critical of the new administration, will be shut down. Offenders, take notice. We are making a list and checking it twice just to see who is naughty or nice."
