Psychiatric experts are saying “Be patient with Mr. Trump. He suffers from affluenza.”
By: Sue YuWashington, DC – After Donald Trump went on a Twitter tirade against U.S. District Judge James Robart from Washington State, calling him a “so-called judge”, for temporarily overturning Steve Bannon’s Muslim travel ban, many are left wondering if Trump thinks he himself is above the law. Psychiatric experts have weighed in and the consensus is “Yes, Donald Trump thinks that because he is President, he does not have to follow the laws.” He also feels that he can make up any law he wants and that all Americans must immediately fall in line.
Most Americans are shocked and are confused about why Trump is permitted to act like this. Psychologists have diagnosed Trump with “affluenza”. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, affluenza is defined as “the unhealthy and unwelcome psychological and social effects of affluence regarded especially as a widespread societal problem.” The term gained notoriety in 2013 when teenager Ethan Couch killed four people and severely injured two others while driving drunk. His lawyers successfully argued that the teen was so wealthy and privileged that he didn’t understand how to behave in normal society and he didn’t understand that killing people is wrong.
Donald Trump is also apparently a victim of affluenza too, which is why he doesn’t understand that as President he has to follow the rules and the laws too. Let’s not forget these famous words from President Trump:
